Ambassador to Germany meets Saarland officials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 26, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Federal Republic of Germany D.Ganbat met with Minister of Environment and Consumer Protection of Saarland state of Germany Reinhold Jost and President of Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU), nature conservation NGO of Germany Olaf Tschimpke.

At the meeting Mr. Reinhold Jost said there are ample opportunities for the two sides to cooperate in mining rehabilitation and environmentally-friendly forestry as Saarland has broad experience in those fields.

NABU President Olaf Tschimpke told the Ambassador about his organization that operates in numerous Asian and African countries for environmental protection and animal welfare, especially, for leopard protection in Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, and yak protection in Tajikistan. He then voiced his willingness to establish cooperation with relevant organizations and individuals of Mongolia in those fields.
