Green Climate Fund subsidized Kazakhstan for the implementation of renewable energy projects

According to the report on official website of Kazakhstan Energy Ministry on October 5th, the Green Climate Fund agreed to subsidize Kazakhstan for the implementation of renewable energy projects, with a total of 110 million dollars. Among them 106 million dollars is for preferential aid, and 4 million dollars for technical assistance. The project aims to promote the transformation of Kazakhstan’s economy into a green economy. It includes the development of solar energy, wind energy, small hydropower and biomass energy. The EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) will assist Kazakhstan in the implementation of the project.
